I am Nikola Mijic, a photographer from southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been doing photography for many years, and my work focuses on dramatic landscapes with lightning, and sometimes understanding the emotions of everyday life on the street.

Storms, lightning and dramatic skies have especially shaped me as a photographer. One of the most important moments in my work was shooting severe weather above Hutovo Blato, an experience that left a deep mark on the way I see the world.

Through the years from 2018, until today, I have been serving in the volunteer unit Mountains Rescue. I'm SAR (Search and Rescue) Team Leader and during that time I learned to move independently in nature, use radio communication and topography. As a radio amateur (E77AX) I recognized the importance of communication in various conditions as well as rescues in natural disasters.
